At Lynkz, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Lynkz, we may collect:

• Account data — your email address, display name, and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register.
• Profile data — your links, bio, profile picture, and theme preferences that you add to your Lynkz page.
• Analytics data — anonymised click counts, referrer sources, and geographic regions for links on your page.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and session duration, collected to improve the product.
• Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never store your card number.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To operate your account and display your Lynkz page.
• To provide analytics on your link performance.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset).
• To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure, which provides industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+). We apply row-level security so your data is only accessible to your account. See our Security page for more details.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage.
• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
• Google Fonts — font delivery.

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, links, and analytics within 30 days. Stripe may retain payment records as required by law.

8. Children's Privacy

Lynkz is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of Lynkz after changes constitutes acceptance.
